President´s Report

Delivered on July 26, 2007 during K-12 Chess Association of B.C.´s 2006-2007 AGM

This report covers the period from the AGM on 31 January, 2007 to date. Working with the Victoria Junior Chess Society, the Chess for Children Foundation and the Laronde Chess Club we managed to field a full schedule of events including a K-12 Open Tournament in February, Regional competitions in Vancouver, Victoria and the Fraser Valley during the month of March as well as the BC Chess Challenge in April. Vice President's Report on Chess Challenge

Delivered on July 26, 2007 during K-12 Chess Association of B.C.´s 2006-2007 AGM

Congratulations to Team BC on a stellar performance in Quebec. Overall, Team BC tied for third place with Alberta and our team came home with four trophies! Thanks to Team Captain Brian Raymer, Coach Greg Churchill and Assistant Tanveer Sohal for all their efforts.

Upon arrival, a team meeting was held before the tournament to prepare the kids and the parents for the days to come. The kids couldn´t wait to put on their Team BC shirts prior to playing their first round in Blitz!
